Returns & exchanges

Checks eligibility, books the return pickup, and lines up the exchange or refund in one conversation — including in-store returns of online orders.

01 · Problem

A return is one decision
stretched across five systems and three days.

The relay

Five tabs per return

Eligibility in the policy doc, the order in Shopify, the pickup in the carrier portal, the refund in Stripe, the reply in the helpdesk. One agent, five logins, one small return.

The gap

Booked ≠ picked up

The return is 'processed' the moment the label is issued — then the pickup fails twice and nobody notices until the customer writes again, angrier.

The lost exchange

Refunds by default

An exchange keeps the revenue; a refund returns it. But an exchange is more clicks, so under queue pressure everything becomes a refund.

The policy says yes in one second. The process takes three days to agree.

02 · Solution

One conversation books all of it. And watches until it's done.

05 · FAQs
Can it handle in-store returns of online orders?
Yes. The store scans the order QR, Clarwiz checks the same policy it uses online, and the refund or exchange runs on the original payment path — one policy, both doors.
What if the exchange size sells out while the return is in transit?
It can't — the replacement is reserved the moment the exchange is agreed. If stock was already gone at booking time, the customer is offered the honest choice up front: wait for restock, pick another item, or take the refund.
Who decides on items that come back damaged or worn?
A person, always. The warehouse photo, the policy clause, and drafted outcomes are packed into one case; you tap the decision. Condition judgment is never automated.
Does it charge or refund price differences on exchanges?
Yes — a cheaper swap refunds the difference on the original path, a dearer one collects it in-channel before the replacement releases. Both inside the same limits you set for refunds.
What do we need to integrate before a demo?
Nothing. The demo runs read-only on your real orders and conversations in thirty minutes. Going live connects your store, PSP, carrier and channels — Shopify, Stripe, Zendesk and about 3,000 others.

Thirty minutes, nothing connected.

We take this process, connect nothing, and show you the run end to end on your real conversations and orders. When you're ready, go live at the autonomy level you choose.
